2.7.00 - Well, I got
to go snowboarding this weekend up at Bachelor. It felt really
good to get away from Western for a couple of days. A couple
of friends and I stayed in a really nice house in Sun River
and then snowboarded during the day. I had a tough time at
first but started enjoying it more as I got the hang of it.
The board I rented was a K2 FatBob
which is your basic starter freestyle board, as far as I know.
At night we chilled in the hot tub while it snowed on us.
It was quite relaxing.
Other than that, things have been pretty normal lately. Intramural
basketball started this week. I'm on a team called the scrubs
-- We're decent but chances aren't very good that we'll win
it all. If we're lucky we'll pull out .500 and go home feeling
good about ourselves.

3.9.00 - What up, welcome back - or, if its your first
time, nice to meet you. It's been a while since last update.
Dunkball. Yep, thats right - short court, 8 and a half foot
rims, 3 on 3. I've been playing every day now -- getting better
at my carter 360 and working on my springs. We're organizing
a sort of underground tournament - 5 dolla to enter - winning
team takes all. So far 7 teams have signed up -- Do the math
-- Thats about 40 apiece for those lucky enough win it all.

Intermural update: Scrubs: 1win : 12 losses. The western baptist
"march madness" tourney starts today. We play at 9 - Go scrubs!
Played 3 games last night. Wow, teamwork - maybe thats what
we're missing? Fun is fun though! I'm going to add some pictures
to the photo album - so check there in a few days for some
visual stimulation!

WASHINGTON--The FBI said today that electronic vandals shut down its Web site for hours last week in the same type of attack that disrupted some of the Internet's major commercial sites.

February 7-11, 2000:
Monday: Yahoo shut down for 3 hours. Time of attack: 10:20 Am.
Tuesday: Buy.com, Ebay.com, Cnn.com and Amazon.com are shut down for periods of time ranging from 1 to 3 hours.
Wednesday: ZDnet.com, Etrade.com and Datek.com were shut down for a period of time ranging from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
